IDX Executives Address Consumer Perceptions About Privacy Protection
Jonathan Boston and Todd Hindman share meaningful solutions for data privacy protection in a panel hosted by Privacy+Security Forum
PORTLAND, Ore. – This week, IDX Senior Vice President Jonathan Boston and Vice President of Alliances Todd Hindman participated in a panel entitled “Addressing Consumer Perceptions About Privacy” hosted by Privacy+Security Forum. They were also joined by Jolynn Dellinger, the Stephen and Janet Bear Visiting Lecturer, Kenan Institute for Ethics, Duke University, and Jason Cronk, Privacy & Trust Consultant, Enterprivacy Consulting Group.
Studies sponsored by IDX from the Ponemon Institute show that 74% of consumers are deeply concerned about their privacy and have very little control over their personal information. The panel discussed a mix of enterprise solutions, consumer solutions, and measures to meaningfully control data.
“It’s with great pleasure we have the opportunity to be a part of this panel with such well respected and driving forces in the privacy space,” said Jonathan Boston, Senior Vice President of IDX. “Consumers are becoming more and more anxious regarding the use of their personal information without their knowledge and/or approval, so it’s important they understand small yet impactful steps they can take to protect their privacy online,” said Todd Hindman, IDX’s Vice President of Alliances.
